He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and London.<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He is the BSG Secretary for International affairs, advisor for National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) interventional procedures subgroup and independent external advisor for the Welsh National Bowel Cancer screening programme complex polyp MDT. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He sits in the BSG Endoscopy committee and research network steering group. Professor Ragunath is a core member and co-director of the International Working Group on Classification of Oesophagitis (IWGCO) Board. Other international activity includes Chair of the World Endoscopy Organization Research committee. \u00a0He is Associate Editor of \u201cDigestive Endoscopy\u201d journal, member of the Editorial Board for &#8216;Endoscopy&#8217; and &#8216;Gastrointestinal Endoscopy&#8217; journals.
