His main clinical interests are in inflammatory bowel disease, Helicobacter pylori and paediatric liver disease. He completed a PhD in gastrointestinal microbiology in 2012 and has published widely in this field. His ongoing research focuses on microbial therapeutic approaches to managing inflammatory bowel disease, including projects looking at nutrition, probiotics and faecal transplantation. Her main interests are inflammatory bowel disease and gut allergy\/intolerance. She has completed a masters degree on gastrointestinal malabsorption and has published work on nutritional intakes in inflammatory bowel disease.
