The money we hope to raise will go to Med\u00e9cins Sans Fronti\u00e8res. They provide an invaluable service in some of the toughest parts of the world, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/cgi\/content\/extract\/337\/dec10_1\/a2942\">Zimbabwe<\/a>. MSF staff and volunteers deal daily with extraordinary personal risks and practical clinical challenges. We recently reported on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/cgi\/content\/extract\/337\/dec10_3\/a2958\">David Notts<\/a>, who operated on a boy in the Democratic Republic of Congo using instructions sent by text message.
