The service will be launched next\u00a0April. A national service specification based on successful local programmes will form part of a wider, major new drive from NHS England to improve the health and wellbeing of NHS staff. The scheme will include serving healthier food, offering health checks in the workplace, and promoting physical activity among staff.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stg-blogs.bmj.com\/bmj\/files\/2015\/08\/childbirth2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-34986\" src=\"https:\/\/stg-blogs.bmj.com\/bmj\/files\/2015\/08\/childbirth2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"childbirth2\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u2022 Are GPs as good as obstetricians at delivering babies?<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/351\/bmj.h4707\">A Canadian study <\/a>has found that the risk to infant and mother is similar after delivery by family physician or obstetrician.
