The charity, which provides healthcare to vulnerable groups, found that around two thirds of the people at its clinics had no healthcare coverage. Migrants cited inability to pay, administrative problems, and lack of knowledge as hampering their ability to access healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stg-blogs.bmj.com\/bmj\/files\/2015\/05\/socialmedia.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-34234\" src=\"https:\/\/stg-blogs.bmj.com\/bmj\/files\/2015\/05\/socialmedia-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"socialmedia\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u2022 \u00a0<\/strong>Over at BMJ Careers, academic GP <a href=\"http:\/\/careers.bmj.com\/careers\/advice\/view-article.html?doi=10.1136\/bmj.h2709\">Anne-Marie Cunningham has argued that social media<\/a> are not as risky as they might seem, and can be used to connect with others and build communities. \u201cBeing able to talk to people who don\u2019t think the same way as you, that\u2019s really the strength [of social media], that\u2019s what you should seek out,&#8221; she told attendees at the Medical Women\u2019s Federation spring conference in Manchester, last week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stg-blogs.bmj.com\/bmj\/files\/2015\/05\/breast_cancer2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-34235\" src=\"https:\/\/stg-blogs.bmj.com\/bmj\/files\/2015\/05\/breast_cancer2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"breast_cancer2\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u2022 \u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/350\/bmj.h2688\">The American College of Physicians (ACP) has published a set of screening guidelines<\/a> for breast, cervical, ovarian, prostate, and colorectal cancer. The guidelines define high value strategies as those that \u201cprovide a degree of benefits that clearly justifies the harms and costs incurred.
