People who are active but sit all day have worse outcomes. Read about the evidence <a href=\"http:\/\/annals.org\/article.aspx?articleid=2091327\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>. Also, <a href=\"http:\/\/recently published in the BJSM\" target=\"_blank\">read the consensus statement and guidelines &#8211;\u00a0recently published in the BJSM &#8211; geared at sedentary office workers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What it\u2019s not:<\/strong> this is not about workouts, sports etc.., its about working activity into your average day. Sidney Crosby is not our hero. The guy\/gal who take the stairs while everybody else is escalating.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who:<\/strong> An Olympian\/Doctor (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/janesthornton\">@JaneSThornton<\/a>), a design agency (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%40pivoting&amp;src=typd\">@pivoting<\/a>), a patient engagement star (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/emily_nicholas8\">@emily_Nicholas8<\/a>) and me (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/docmikeevans\">@docmikeevans<\/a>) (and friends..like you). We don\u2019t have any funding. We are just doing this to see if we can start to make a little social nudge towards more activity in our days.
