As a chiropractor, this may seem strange, but I have developed a niche due to my background in biomechanics and a penchant for running.<\/p>\n<p>I see a wide variety of conditions during a typical day, but at the same time, certain scenarios become repetitive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cAre these shoes good for me?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The question, \u201cAre these shoes good for me?\u201d or any variation of that theme is certainly one of the most commonly repeated questions. When you have a \u201cGroundhog day\u201d moment like that on a daily basis, you start looking for more efficient ways to handle it.\u00a0 Many patients respond well to visual learning, so I often search the web for appropriate media that fits with current evidence.\u00a0 Unfortunately, I am usually unable to\u00a0find\u00a0anything suitable.<\/p>\n<p>So, when I see a need for something, I try and fill that need.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve dabbled in 3D animation and use a free program called \u201cBlender\u201d, to make short, evidence based videos for my patients to watch. My hope is that these videos offer a well thought out visual explanation\/ representation\u2013\u00a0 and an improvement on what I could do \u201coff the cuff\u201d in the office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here is a sample of these videos:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/118162021\">Tendon Compression:<\/a><\/strong> Tendons are particularly vulnerable at sites where they wrap around and are compressed by bony protuberances.
