[this link is to a free, shorter version of the paper &#8211; subscription version highlighted below].<br \/>\nBJSM Senior Associate Editor Jon Drezner is quoted liberally &#8211; all good stuff for sports medicine and for his University of Washington. Sports cardiology is a hot topic when it makes the mainstream media. We ran a <a href=\"https:\/\/stg-blogs.bmj.com\/bjsm\/2011\/08\/22\/new-guidelines-to-improve-ecg-interpretation-in-athlete\/\" target=\"_blank\">sports cardiology blog yesterday<\/a> &#8212; interpreting athletes&#8217; ECG\/EKG and now <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424053111904279004576524302088901480.html?mod=googlenews_wsj\" target=\"_blank\">WSJ<\/a> adds interesting new issues! Mandatory exclusion is clearly a tricky issue.<\/p>\n<p>Next thing the editorial team will get accused for making this the BJSC &#8211; <span style=\"color: #008000\"><em>British Journal of Sports Cardiology<\/em><\/span>!<\/p>\n<p>See the <a href=\"https:\/\/stg-blogs.bmj.com\/bjsm\/2011\/08\/22\/new-guidelines-to-improve-ecg-interpretation-in-athlete\/\" target=\"_blank\">links in yesterday&#8217;s guest blog (by Dr Babette Pluim<\/a> &#8211; her PhD was in sports cardiology!). Also, <a href=\"http:\/\/podcasts.bmj.com\/bjsm\/category\/jon-drezner\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jon Drezner did a nice job explaining all this in his podcast<\/a>!<br \/>\nThere are key papers Online first and a couple of very interesting ones in the pipeline!
