(Don&#8217;t be frustrated if you can&#8217;t get this link &#8211; Harford summarizes it below).<\/p>\n<p>The wizard economist, Tim Harford (<em>The Undercover Economist<\/em> &#8211; great read for general Humans like me, not Econs) <a href=\"http:\/\/timharford.com\/2011\/07\/in-defence-of-powerpoint\/\" target=\"_blank\">defends the medium<\/a>.\u00a0 He just says many folks are crap at using it.<\/p>\n<p>These twitter posts led me to the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.guykawasaki.com\/2005\/12\/the_102030_rule.html#axzz1TG9W4g3O\" target=\"_blank\">10\/20\/3o rule of Powerpoint<\/a>. Specifically for the business community, but I think there is some resonance for sports and exercise medicine.<\/p>\n<p>And as a total diversion &#8211; <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">don&#8217;t click on this<\/span><\/em> &#8212; you have better things to do &#8211; there is the group who want to <a href=\"http:\/\/bancomicsans.com\/main\/\" target=\"_blank\">ban the Comic Sans font<\/a>. As someone who appreciates words, I had to smile at this<a href=\"http:\/\/digg.com\/news\/politics\/us_army_declares_war_on_vision_aesthetics_and_sanity_with_100_slide_comic_sans_powerpoint\" target=\"_blank\"> specific assault on Comic Sans<\/a> &#8211; not sure if I think it is good writing or over the top (&#8216;corneal rape&#8217;?) but it certainly has passion! Vituperative.<\/p>\n<p>And the last word? Steven Curry from Imperial College, London. He gives <a href=\"http:\/\/occamstypewriter.org\/scurry\/2011\/05\/28\/the-best-seminar\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u201c<strong>Mind-blowing work of staggering genius: Probably the best seminar you will ever attend<\/strong>.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Relevance to what we do?
