What is the best example of a successful physical activity intervention that has made a sustained difference?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\">I&#8217;m tweaking my presentation for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acsm.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">ACSM<\/a> relating to \u2018implementation\u2019 and I&#8217;m keen to share success stories &#8211; or &#8216;bright lights&#8217; as the Heath Brothers call it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"LightbulbIdea\" src=\"https:\/\/stg-blogs.bmj.com\/bjsm\/files\/2011\/05\/LightbulbIdea.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"190\" height=\"329\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Which interventions have made kids move? Helped adults reach the guidelines?\u00a0 What about agitating the aged? (sorry!).\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hsph.harvard.edu\/research\/prc\/projects\/planet\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gortmaker&#8217;s Planet Health<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sph.uth.tmc.edu\/catch\/IndividualEvaluation.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Sallis&#8217; CATCH<\/a>, and van Mechelen&#8217;s various studies at work and in the community come to mind. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agitamundo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Agita Mundo<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.10000steps.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rockhampton&#8217;s 10,000 steps<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.actionschoolsbc.ca\/content\/home.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Action Schools<\/a>!
