She trained at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where she was appointed an IBD specialist nurse. Her research interests include in travel health and IBD, transitional care and screening prior to Anti-TNF therapy. A speaker at national and international events, she has written for numerous journals and co-authored a chapter for &#8216;IBD Nursing&#8217;.
